Hi there. Im trying to escape my stressful job in the UK at the moment just for a few days and have found some cheap flights to Bremen. It wasnt number one on my list of destinations to visit but after reading a few hotel reviews on here people are saying it is excellent for a short break.
We would be arriving Saturday and leaving Monday. We are a young couple but not into clubs and drinking etc... We%26#39;d like to just relax, look at the sights of Bremen, any particular pretty areas to visit, any areas with good restaurants etc...? Any other tips would be greatfully received.

There are plenty of cool things to do but for me I loved the %26#39;Floh%26#39;or flea market behind the train station on Sunday morning. I only stumbled upon it by accident. We also hired bikes and drove round the lovely park. One thing I didn%26#39;t do but is always worth doing is tracking down a thermal baths, these are class in Germany. Perhaps someone could tell you if there is one around the Bremen area. However I am sure others will advise you of more things to do but seeing as no one answered ye yet here is my two pence worth to get the ball rolling.

if you%26#39;re just looking to relax for a couple of days then Bremen is great place to visit.
You can easily spend a couple of days wandering around around the Schnoor area (the old fishermans%26#39; district), the Altstadt and Boettcherstrase, all of which is really beautiful, full of nice shops, and plenty of cafes / bars / restaurants to rest your feet.
There%26#39;s also a pretty decent modern shopping area if that%26#39;s your thing. And if you%26#39;re willing to take a tram 10 mins out of the city centre there%26#39;s the Burgerpark which is great for relaxing walks or bike rides.
