Has anyone used Hotel-Board.com to book hotel? Any problems

Hi, can anyone let me know if you have used Hotel-Board.com to book accomodation etc - I have been looking around at best prices for both Intercontinental Hotel %26amp; Hotel Lyskirchen.

Hotel-Board seem to come up with some good prices but I don%26#39;t know anything about the website.Is it safe? I just don%26#39;t want to have any problems with a non-existant booking and then trying to get money back. So if anyone has used this website, please can they let me know everything was ok etc. Many thanks.

I made a booking through hotel-board.com, but after reading their terms, I cancelled the booking. They don%26#39;t give you an instant confirmation, and you have to bring a signed voucher to the hotel. After cancelling, I got this mail:

%26quot;You never indicated why.... is it because you do not have money???%26quot;

Not very professional. I think it%26#39;s better to stay away from this site.

I always recommend the main booking sites for Germany:

www.hotel.de

www.hrs.de

Hi, thanks for the replies back. I am going to have a look at Hotel.de hopefully they are ok. If anyone has used them do let me know! Many thanks again.

%26gt;If anyone has used them do let me know! %26lt;

I%26#39;m using both sites, HRS and Hotel.de, frequently and always to my utmost satisfaction.

”Fraudulent bookings”!? Now this is just getting ridiculous. I made ONE booking, which I cancelled. I then made the same booking through booking.com, where I used the same perfectly valid credit card and got an instant confirmation, something they don’t provide at hotel-board.com.

After posting my comment above regarding my experience with hotel-board.com, I’ve received several mails from them. First I received a sincere apology from their customer services manager. Then I received two additional mails, threatening to forward my bank details “to the appropriate”! The icing of the case is this latest post where I’m accused of fraudulent bookings!

I don’t think I need to comment further on this matter. Everyone reading the above post from hotel-board.com will be able to make up their own mind on the (lack of) professionalism shown.

the real question is how do these sites stay in business. are the hotels aware they are being represented by such agents?

My name is Mark Derritz and I am Hotel-Board.com%26#39;s Customer Service Manager. Customer satisfaction is our company%26#39;s first priority; however we have rare incidents where our customer%26#39;s are not happy with the service we provide. I need to make some points clear about Hotel-Board.com%26#39;s services:

1. Hotel-Board.com provides instant confirmation hotels. When you make a booking, you instantly get the room reserved. Then your payment is processed and your prepaid accommodation voucher is released.

2. Hotel-Board.com works on prepayment principle, to maintain the most discounted contracts with the hotels. This means you need to provide a valid (chargeable) credit card to have your room reserved.

Hello jaegerchick, I used hotel-board.com in May and it was the best deal I found on the net. 120 EUR cheaper than the nearest web site! made the booking, got the hotel voucher within an hour. I travel a few times a year for business and got experience with other hotel booking sites. hotel-board.com has nothing less than the big players except its great discounts.

My advice is you%26#39;d better check the hotel rate comparison web sites like hotelscombined.com and see who%26#39;s the best for the hotel you want.

Have a nice trip.

Regarding the %26quot;instant confirmation%26quot;; when I made my booking through hotel-board.com, I found this in their terms:

%26quot;your reservation will be sent to our backoffice, where our travel professionals will finalize your booking in 24-72 hours excluding weekends and holidays%26quot;.

That%26#39;s not my definition on an %26quot;instant confirmation%26quot;.
