Travelling to Dusseldorf
Flying into Weeze Airport with Ryanair.
How do I get to the City Centre.
I know it`s quite far out.

Shuttle bus

Thanks for posting the link. I too am travelling to Weese (from Shannon) Unlike other Ryanair destinations, this Shuttle bus does not seem to leave shortly after the flight lands.
Inbound we arrive at 09:45, and the bus departs at 12:15 (2.5 hrs wait)
Is there a train station close to the airport?

DB timetable

From: Weeze Flughafen
To: D (for Düsseldorf Hbf)
There are mostly RFB/AST buses to the next railway stations from the airport. These are (mini) buses which drive only on demand. Check out the detail for the desired connections and call the given number at least 30 min before the scheduled departure of the RFB/AST.

Another option is to visit the charming old town of Kevalaer. It%26#39;s not too far from the airport and a taxi will take you there for 3.60 Euro. Kevelaer has a train staion and you can take the train to Dusseldorf. It takes around one hour and costs 10 Euro.

EUR 3,60 for a taxi?
I guess this was a RFB/AST one. Esp. AST (wordly: call collect taxi) can be *real* taxis. But with a special public transport tariff - not using their meters.
Weeze stations is actually a bit closer than Kevelaer station. But Kevelaer is undoubtly more interesting.

Can I travel by train from Weeze Airport to Dusseldorf How long will it take. Is there a bus? or how much would a taxi cost.

Why hijacking a 3 years old thread if you are not reading the answers of this thread before?
%26gt; or how much would a taxi cost.
Weeze is some 80 km west of Düsseldorf. If you can afford a taxi over this distance why don%26#39;t you fly to Düsseldorf International Airport in first place?
|||
Hi
There is a train directly from Weeze airport to Dusseldorf Centre and its really cheap. You can get a local ticket that allows up to 5 to travel on it.
But the last time I was there we got a taxi and if memory is correct it cost us less than €20 door to door. Much easier than lugging suitcases on and off trains.

Breezer25,
I assume by taxi, you meant small shuttle bus. There is no way you could get a proper taxi from Weeze to Dussdeldorf city for 20 Euros. The journey by rail takes around an hour and the train ticket price is even more than 20 euros.

Apologies Robert
I actually flew into the main airport in Dusseldorf which is actually much nearer. Didn%26#39;t read the title properly.
