Taxi To Documentation Center

Hello!

We plan on doing a morning tour through the Old City of Nurnberg, ending up at the Imperial Castle. We then want to head to the Nazi Documentation Center. Rather than retrace our steps all the way to the Train Station to catch Tram 9, we thought about taking a taxi from Imperial Castle to Center.

Are there taxis available at or near the Imperial Castle?

Any idea what the cost would be (ne way as we would take Tram 9 back to train station).

Thanks!

Bus #36 connects Burgstrasse with the documentation center. Travel time is 16 minutes.

Day ticket (covering all local public transport) is EUR 3,80 (2 x the price of a single ticket). Mini group day ticket is EUR 6,60. This ticket is valid for up to 6 persons, but only 2 of them must be 18 years or older.

Thank you so much. We are traveling to Nurnberg by train on the Bayern ticket and were told in the Munich Forum that the Bayern ticket also covers local transport (like buses and rams). Is that true for Nurnberg?

On an unrelated note, do you think Bratwurstglocklein in Nurnberg would be a fun and good place for dinner. It being so close to the train station we could eat there before heading back to Munich.

Thanj you again.

Yes, Bayern Ticket does cover all local public transport in Nuremberg (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams and buses).

Why not? But I don%26#39;t know this place personally.

Hi Willie,

Nurnberg city centre is not that big. To walk from the castle to the train station would only take 15 mins and is a straight walk down through the city. Used taxi to get to the soccer ground which is close to the documentation centre. I think it cost about 15 euro. Bus, tram and train takes you out to the area and you said you have the bayern ticket which covers the cost. For local help when you arrive the tourist info office is just at the start of the main street at the train station end of town.

Regarding restaurants. The main and side streets has lots of options all within a short walk from the train station. Enjoy your trip to a great city.

Regards,

Supervanman.
