ideas for afternoon and late evening things to do

My wife and I are staying in Prenzlauer berg for 4 nights starting 24th October. We have trips with insider tours planned for the mornings/early afternoon. Any ideas for late afternoon and after dinner things to do? Also we have Berlin cards, are there any S Bahn routes that would give a look at the city using these cards?

Prenzlauer Berg is a great area to hang out in the evenings, but for the afternoons I would recommend museums, at least go - even if you%26#39;re not big museum fans, to the Pergamon, the Jewish Museum and the Gemalde Galerie.

Jewish Museum open till 10pm on Mondays, DDR-Museum also open into the evening (most others close at 6pm).

S-Bahn across the city centre from Alexanderplatz to Zoologischer Garten/Savignyplatz shows you the sights of central Berlin. The Ringbahn (ie circle line, eg from Schönhauser Allee) shows you the ordinary neighbourhoods of Berlin. It%26#39;s also a good way to move around the city eg to/from Charlottenburg for palace and museums, to Prenzlauer Berg.

Trams also good for seeing the neighbourhoods, even better are the double-decker buses eg 100, 200 and M29. There%26#39;s a great article on M29 route in %26quot;budget travel%26quot;, check on forum here for the link.

If you are lucky and have good weather, don%26#39;t forget the Prater beergarten!
