Park and ride Norderstedt Mitte - free parkplatze?

Hello in this super forum

We travel to Hamburg sunday for 3 days at a hotel in center. I,m not happy/get use to drive in big city like Hamborg, so i think Norderstedt mitte PR is free park? and a safe place for parking?

If you don%26#39;t feel confortable driving in Hamburg, it is a good idea to park your car outside the city. With the metro line U1 you reach the centre in 40 minutes.

There are some P+R parkings around the Norderstedt Mitte station, which are for free. But you are not allowed to park your car for more than 2 days. I think it is a safe place but of course you should not leave any articles of value in the car at least not visible for someone else.

Did you check if your hotel offers parkings? Maybe that would be a safer way. In Hamburg everything is signposted especially the centre. Therefore, I think you would not get lost in the big city.

However you decide, enjoy your time in Hamburg!

In their terms of use (in German) hvv.de/wissenswertes/autofahrer/park-ride/Be… you can find that is only allowed to use the P+R for 2 days. To be serious, I don%26#39;t know if they check this. When you park your car in a parking garage than they will check.

If you drive into Hamburg from the north (A 7 Autobahn) I can recommend you to leave the Autobahn in Schnelsen. Turn to the right and find a parking at Schleswiger Damm. There are always parkings on the street available and they are for free. From there you can take the metro bus line 5 which goes to the city centre. It is a quiet neighbourhood and in my opinion as safe as P+R at Norderstedt Mitte.

this time we hit Hotel Holyday Inn quiet easy direktion Elbbrugge:) and spent 3 lovelys days by bus and s/u bahn

I sure we must get back for fottball or even Lions King or orther musical and make a resevation in good time.
