From Oberammergau to Lindau

Hello,

I am looking for the most simple and economic way to go from Oberammergau to Lindau (without a car). If someone has the answer, it would be very nice to tell me!

Thank you very much :)

Simple is difficult. Just have a look on this railroads in Bavaria map

bayerntakt.de/media/…Netzkarte_Gesamt0608.pdf

Economic: Bavaria Ticket using regional trains

DB timetable

reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?

From: Oberammergau

To: Lindau

and select as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot;

Bavaria Ticket is valid

Mo-Fr: from 9am till 3am next day

Sa,Su: from midnight till 3am next day

Bavaria Ticket Single (1 person) EUR 20,00

Bavaria Ticket (2-5 persons) EUR 28,00

You can buy these tickets on spot from ticket machines at Oberammergau station.

Thanks a lot! And do you think that thumbing would be a good idea or not at all?

|||

Thumbing? Do you mean hitch hiking?

Besides the fact that it is always a bad idea, not many people driving in Oberammergau will be going to Lindau or the area. You can spend a day waiting.

If you have the time, it is a 5:36 hr. trip by bus and train.

The scenery is beautiful. Take bus # 9606 to Garmisch, then RB # 5474 to Reutte, then 5516 to Kempten and finally 95914 to Lindau.
