Hi I am planning to travel from Füssen to Verona on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately looking at www.bahn.de the only train that I can find gets into Verona at 2:30 AM, which is not ideal as I have family who I am going to stay with just out of Verona. However, if I select the 3/12/09 there appears to be trains every two hours all day for this same route.
Does anyone know if there are going to be more trains running on Christmas Eve than the current one shown? And if so when will these tickets be released?
Thank you

The Italians have not yet released there 2010 timetable (which is valid from 13. Dec. 2009). This should happen in the next few days. You have just to check this again.
Currently only the CityNightLine train is shown, as CityNightLine is a subsidiary of DB.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I%26#39;ll keep an eye on www.bahn.de then.

The timetable is now up online for this journey. However, there appear to be no savings fares available for any day past 13/12/09. Are the savings fares released at a later date?
What would your advice to me be in order to get the best deal and not missing out on a ticket?
1. Buy the standard fare and cancel it to get a full refund at a later date to purchase a savings fare (if one available)?
2. Wait a few days for the release of savings fares and hope that these train tickets don%26#39;t sell out on what I presume would be one of the busiest transport days of the year.
Thanks once again for your help

While Xmas Eve is indeed one of the busiest days of the year, it is not so busy that tickets are sold out MONTHS in advance. The German and Swiss parts of the journey cannot %26quot;sell out%26quot; per se, only in Italy the reservations are mandatory - and even then only on high-speed trains. It is however possible that the savings fares (of which there are usually only a few per train) are sold out. Wait for a week or two and see whether new savings fares are offered. if not, there is no reason not to buy a full fare.

The saving fares have just been released online for 59 euro. I%26#39;ve booked my seats so I don%26#39;t have to worry about it now.
Thanks
