Bavarian Alps from Munich

Im looking for some snow a great views in December and im hearing the Alps from Munich are going to be my best bet of breath taking views snow etc etc.

This is only going to be a day trip from Munich bet i can get up early to travel

1.easy way to get there ?

2. what views im i going to see?

Snow, Water, Villages, Glacier ?

We are fit so can hike a little.

Mountain Lifts would also be great ????

Garmisch-Partenkirchen (1:25 from Munich)

and going up to the Zugspitze

Mittenwald (1:50 from Munich)

and going up into the Karwendel mountains

Karwendelbahn is cheaper than the Zugspitzbahn. Mittenwald is also the more cute town.

In any case going up to the peaks makes only sense if you have sight there. You can check this beforehand with the above links.
