Hotel near Gendarmenmarkt

My family and I are looking for a nice 2 * or 3 * hotel near Gendarmenmarkt around Christmas.

Unfortunately that is quite expensive area. But with excellent public transport, try the following: Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz

For the period I queried over Christmas HRS showed

4* Winter%26#39;s Hotel am Gendarmenmarkt for EUR 55,00 (double room per night without breakfast).

For those who don%26#39;t know it: hrs.de is a great booking site we%26#39;ve used quite a lot in the last couple of years. Good for family bookings and good rates.

2-3 stars near Gendarmenmarkt is a tall order - but...

They are opening soon a new Motel One in Spittelmarkt (not far from Gendarmenmarkt) and there is a Best Western Spittelmarkt further down the Spittelmarkt area.

I don%26#39;t know this one, but the location is great and it has good reviews

I wouldn%26#39;t worry o much about being close to Gendarmenmarkt though: there is great public transportation in the city and many nice neighbourhoods.

Hi,

try Mercure Checkpoint Charlie through accorhotels.com. They are 4-star, but they sometimes have really nice offers.Last December we haved stayed there in a large king room for around 60 Eur per night.

Also mail them directly, if you cannot find a good price, they sometimes give better prices than on the general website. You can find more information and the mail adress, when you click the hotel´s name.

Gendarmenmarkt in walking distance from there.

I%26#39;ve just booked 3 nights in a 4 star hotel which has already been mentioned - Winter%26#39;s Hotel Gendarmenmarkt Berlin Stadtmitte. It looks clean and modern and it%26#39;s in gendarmenmarkt right next to the stadmitte u-bahn station.

I went on expedia, and paid £134 for 3 nights for a standard room with queen bed. It was much cheaper on expedia than anywhere else for some reason!
