Hello All,
I found a previous thread that said the booking window for trains was 89 days out. I%26#39;m going to be traveling on Dec 22nd, from Munich to Venice, but when i try and book on bhan.de it tells me that date is outside the booking window.
Does anyone know how far in advance i can make the reservation? I%26#39;m hoping to get the %26#39;special fare%26#39; to save some money. Also, this is a day-time train, not a night train.
Thanks!

As soon as the new timetable for 2010 (valid from 12. Dec. 2009) is online.
Should be online till mid of October.

Ah, so in this case it isn%26#39;t a set number of days, i%26#39;m just waiting for the official schedule.
Good to know i wasn%26#39;t missing something, i was worried this being my first experience with it. Thanks for the assurance.

It looks like the schedule is now up and your trip can be booked.

Thank you for the notice. It looks like there is not a day train on the schedule, and the only option i have now is a train to Villach, followed by a bus to complete the journey into Venice.
Is that correct?

The Austrian railways schedule is not up yet http://www.oebb.at/pv/en/index.jsp so you can%26#39;t book it on-line just yet. Keep checking - it should be up soon.
It isn%26#39;t an ordinary bus, though - it is quite plush, and apparently the views from upstairs (%26#39;2nd class%26#39;) are great, whereas %26#39;1st class%26#39; (downstairs) are of the road surface. It costs €24 from Villach, but there may be special offers available all the way through. There are several posts about this on the Austrian forum so check there.
