Help - Some Munich questions please

Dear All, we will be visiting Munich in December for a week or so, as we are coming from a country where the exchange rate is shocking to the Euro, I am merely wondering the following if anyone could help please : what sort of cost can one expect for a coffee, cappucino at a normal cafe, sanwiches at a cafe and in the supermarkets ? A tin of coke etc ...., also do they allow smoking cigarettes in coffee shops, thinking rather cold to be outside having coffee, but then its the price on has to pay I guess for being a smoker. Also, what would one say is the cheapest place to buy a few souveniors ? Many thanks and kind regards, Sarah

Hi,

if you do not want to sit in a cafe you can get a cup of coffee and a sandwich at some of the bakeries for about 2.50€ . Coke in the supermarket is about 0.89€ for 0.5 liter. In restaurants coffee and coke is about 2.50. Beer around 3€

Smoking is generally not allowed in restaurants. Some have special rooms where you can smoke.

If you have a look you can get cheap offers at every spot.
