BMW welt v BMW Museum

Whats the difference between the two, and whats the best one to visit ?

BMW museum was recently refurbished and is a great display if youre into BMW cars...nicely done... can easily be viewed in 2 hours... entry is a bit steep but its a nice exhibition... BMW Welt is free to enter and is across the road from the museum... its where you can watch people pick up their new BMWs and see a few of the latest models... the building itself is more interesting than the content... So both together can be done in 3 hours...

Do them both, why not book a tour of factory also

spend a whole day

do book a factory tour if its available...has to be done ahead of your visit.

it was the best part of the experience for me and the gf :)

The factory tour is definitely worth the visit. We visited the factory at Dingolfing a few years back. It may be easier to arrange the visit through your local dealership as we weren%26#39;t successful on 2 earlier attempts of our own. Most of the tours are conducted in German so be sure you book the English one if you don%26#39;t understand German.

we visited both while there in August to pick up our car (European delivery program). The Welt is free and there are lots of really engaging and interactive exhibits. But the absolute best was going to the Regensburg plant for a tour a few days later. The tour was arranged via their website, and was given in English. We were escorted throughout the entire plant and were able to see the %26quot;real thing%26quot; --not just a staged tour. I would recommend it to anyone interested in robotics and manufacturing--it was fascinating!
