Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has a recommended tour operator in Munich. I am interested in doing day trips to King Ludwig%26#39;s castles (do you actually go inside the castle?), Nuremberg etc. I have come across Radius tours and Munich walk tours in my internet search. Can anyone share of experiences with either companies? Your feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Try Dark History Tours. I just read an outstanding review about them over on the Graffiti Wall on Rick Steves. I am planning on touring with them when I go to Munich later this year. The tours sound fascinating and just a cut above the regular city tours on offer, but still at a decent affordable cost.

Mike%26#39;s Bike Tour offers a tour to Neuschwanstein. We did it a few weeks ago and we got to go on the tour through the castle. It was good to see once but something I wouldn%26#39;t do again. There isn%26#39;t a lot to see in the castle since it was never finished but it was interesting.
They are doing some work on the outside of the castle too so there is scaffolding all over the side you see from Mary%26#39;s bridge, which is the most scenic view
FYI - the tour took all day, left about 10am and didn%26#39;t get back until after 7pm.

John%26#39;s Bavarian Tours, link below, is highly recommended.
