The info I read was very useful, however, does the Bavaria Ticket bought at the airport 27 euros really cover 5 people for the journey to Garmisch? Also I believe there is one change and very little time for transfer, is this correct?

Five of us made the trip from central Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen using a Bayern Ticket. You can buy the ticket from a machine or a Reisen Zentrum (travel center) where the agent should be able to answer your questions and provide you with a printout giving the time of train departures and the platforms.

When we traveled this route the platform in Munich for the Garmisch train changed a couple of times while we were waiting. So check the departure boards for the correct platform when you get to the Munich train station.

Yes. Albeit the price is now EUR 28,00.

There will be one change. The DB timetable gives you the tightest possible connection. You can take however a S-Bahn 10 or 20 minutes earlier from Munich airport. Thus you%26#39;ll have more time for the transfer.

The hourly RB trains are covered.

Not covered are IC/EC or ICE trains.
