Friday night in frankfurt on my own??

what should i do? a friend is delayed

the original plan was to go to cocoon but seems a bit silly on my own, so we will go to the robert johnson instead, they have a saturday right?

im staying at the golden leaf,

perhaps somewhere nice and relaxed, bohemian, cool inexpensive possibly, a bar restaurant etc i can while away an hour or two?

With the Book Fair in town, many places are going to be quite full downtown.

Do you want a lounge, a place for dinner, or a club to dance in? I am a bit confused with your post. You are asking about Friday night and then at the end ask about Saturday night.

Any cool, nice club you go to is not going to be inexpensive. Do you want to go someplace where you can meet other people?

The city center will be packed, so don%26#39;t go to the Fressgasse or to Sachsenhausen. I would go to the Berger strasse in Bornheim. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs to go to.

One of my favourite places in Frankfurt used to be Destino Tapas Bar (U-Bahn Merianplatz). It is a good tapas bar with fine food and cocktail at reasonable prices. It is cool, funky, yet casual and (somewhat) low key. My heydays are kind of over (for now...) but this might be your ticket
