Rhineland-Palatinate Region --> Frankfurt

Hi all,

My partner and I are planning to go on a 3 day/2 nights trip to Germany in late November to visit the Frankfurt city (1 night) and a nearby wine growing city for another night.

I%26#39;m really interested in the Rhineland-Palatinate area and would love to know more about it as we are planning to stay there overnight (first night).

- which city/village should we go to?

I read that the Bernkastel-Kues area is a famous wine village on the Moselle + it will host a xmas market when we visit. Anyone who%26#39;s been there during xmas? Any advice on where to stay/what to see?

Or, any alternative suggestions?

- how can we reach there by public transport from Frankfurt airport?
