frankfurt tranport pass?

Is there some kind of tranport pass to buy for 3 or 5 days to use the S-Bahn and U-Bahn inside the city of Frankfurt. Or just the day ticket?

There are only day and weekly local public transport tickets.

Price differs between Frankfurt without/including Frankfurt Airport.

day ticket EUR 5,80/9,10

weekly ticket EUR 21,10/31,90

Than there is the 1-day and 2-day Frankfurt Card.

It includes local public transport in Frankfurt incl. Frankfurt Airport and has some further advantages.

Esp. if you need to travel from/to Frankfurt Airport the Frankfurt Card is a good deal.

If there is more than just one person, you can also use a group ticket - Gruppenkarte, which costs 8.70 euro and is good for up to 5 people the entire day. You might also check with your hotel as many of them offer a special ticket at a reduced cost to ride public transportation. If you are planning to go to museums, there is also the City card which gives you transportation and reduced entry fees to the museums.

I don%26#39;t know where you are staying, but Frankfurt itself is pretty walkable and you may find you don%26#39;t need to take a tram or train at all some days. Especially if you are going to be going thru museums, or staying in the city center.

Is there an area you recommend staying at which is within walking distance to saschsenhausen, train station and xmas market?

If you use www.hrs.com and type in any of those neighborhoods, you will get a ton of hotels. Near to the train station and decent is Hotel Monopol.

Hotel Miramar might be good, or Royal Hotel, or Kraemer Hotel. For a quite unique hotel look at this one:

hmmm, i see, I arrive at 7pm so i wont get much value there will i!

Are you arriving by train or by plane? If by plane, just buy a ticket to get into the city for 3.70 euro. If by train, your ticket may still be good on the S-bahns here in town.

If you are staying in a hotel near the Christmas market or near the city center, you may find that you don%26#39;t need to take public transport at all, as the city is very walkable. If you just want a ticket to get into the museums, that is available too, seperate from the transportation tickets.

Otherwise, just get a day ticket for the trains for 5.80 and if there is more than one person, get a group ticket for 8.70.

arriving at the airport, going to the golden leaf hotel, , so thats to at least ostbahnhof, maybe also a short tram. Is that just a single ticket? there are changes but no stops.

I would take the S-8 or S-9 into Frankfurt and get off at the main train station, Haupbahnhof. Walk out the main front doors to where the trams stop. Staying on the same side of the street as the Hauptbahnhof, get on the #11 tram. This will take you almost directly to your hotel. I just googled the hotel and the map came right up. Your ticket from the airport will still be good on the tram, so no need to buy a 2nd ticket once you get to Frankfurt.
