Dear Posters, Can anyone suggest a nice, perhaps family run hotel in Berlin that won%26#39;t break the budget? Room size doesnt matter as long as its clean w/ private bathroom, bfast included would be nice, also a convenient locale. A few years ago in Munich I stayed at such a place, I believe it was called the hotel Jedermann, it was so pleasant and comfortable. If anyone is familiar with this, does something similar exist in Berlin? Thanks ahead.

Look for hotels titled %26quot;pension%26quot;. Most answer to your description. I can recommend the Xantner Eck and the Pension Gitte; as well as Pension Bernstein, all three are in City West (the KuDamm area). Others here have also recommended Pension Peters in the same area.
