At approx. 30euros that alone would pay for about 14 public transport rides, or 7 round trips in 5 days. I usually stay away from such purchases but this looks like a good deal. Will pay indeed in most cases alone for public transport. And is more convenient than to buy daily or per trip a new ticket.
And with 5 days you should be able to use even one or two of the many discount vouchers coming with the Berlin Welcome Card.

While staying 7 days you could also buy a 7-day ticket just for local public transport.
