Hotel suggestions ??

Hi all,

I%26#39;m hoping you guys can direct me to the right hotel for a dear friend of mine who is looking for a cheap, clean safe hotel in the Mitte District for her single young 21yr daughter. (budget around 50 - 90Euro.) cheaper the better as she is just a student.

We visited Mitte a few years ago and stayed in more upmarket hotels so I cannot think I any cheaper alternative for my friends to recommend.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We stayed in Marks Aparthotel Lietzenburger Strasse 82-84 ,

clean and located in a safe area near Kurfürstendam . Underground and shops nearby .We booked with www.hrs.de and got a very good price.

You don%26#39;t need to book breakfast in the hotel. It is easy to get cheap breakfast in a bakery nearby .

There are two hotels in Berlin defining themselves as %26quot;Women Only%26quot; hotels, which may make her feel safer

Intermezzo is right in Mitte

However, Berlin is generally safe. She shouldn%26#39;t be afraid to stay in %26quot;mixed-gender%26quot; hotels, such as Motel One Alexanderplatz, The Circus Hotel, Amano Hotel, Arena - all in Mitte and all are 2-3 stars.

I would suggest the Baxpax on Ziegelstr, Mitte. I found it a very safe place, staff are friendly, close to eateries, transport. Walking distance to major historical sites and Central Rail Station.

Great location, nice staff, but it is a hostel, not a hotel (she might be sharing the room or the bathroom with others, etc.)

Did you mean Circus hoStel or hotel? There is one of each run by the Circus people. The hotel, though I have yet to stay in it, is very highly rated and it is in an excellent location.
